Some of greatest avalanche danger in the U.S. is within sight of Park City. Avalanches kill more utahns than any other force of nature. We help keep people alive in the mountains and make backcountry fun by providing up-to-date avalanche forecasts and education and mountain weather forecasts.

Knowing about avalanches is the most effective way to stay safe in avalanche terrain. Our Know Before You Go program is designed to teach young adults about avalanche danger outside of resort boundaries. This free program is presented to over 1,000 people in & around Park City each year.
