Mountain Trails advocates for the non-motorized trails and lifestyle we all live.

Mountain Trails Foundation will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2013. Established in 1992 when Park City had only a few hand-cut trails all of which were on private lands, we now enjoy 350+ miles of trails in Summit County, Utah with Park City at the epicenter of this internationally recognized outdoor nirvana.

Since the beginning, our mission has been to advocate, build and improve trails, working together with local governments, private landowners, developers and the general public in an effort to promote the benefit of a non-motorized outdoor recreation amenity. Mountain Trails works closely with the Snyderville Basin Recreation, Park City Municipal Corp. and Summit County to create a year round seamless trail system. Mountain Trails is currently responsible for the maintenance of a portion of these trails, both summer and winter. The Summit County trail system may well be the best in the country today!
